What a power message! The act of “Honoring” your parents is such a deeper gesture than what it seems on the surface. Of course respect is important in honor, but what does that include? Here is what I heard, honor is also in how you represent your family, Love them and love is a deeper act, Care for them, even forgiveness. Forgiveness because there is no perfect parent. Give them Grace! As adults we must work on learning from our childhood experiences, the good and bad. Of course it’s not always easy to face the truth but there is growth from it. This is such a strong and deep scripture, this is just the tip of the iceberg. So, lead with love, honor our Father God in each action, and pray for direction. This will lead towards honoring our Father’s and Mother’s!
